- Is the POS really free?
- Yes. The Genius hardware, the installation, the training and the software are at no cost to you. The processing on your card sales, run through the cash discount program, is what covers it. The receipt on the Free POS page itemizes it.
- What is a cash discount program?
- Posted prices include the cost of accepting cards. Cash customers get a small discount at the register, card customers pay the posted price, and the fee stops coming out of your deposits. The register does the math and the receipt shows the line.
- Do I have to use cash discount to get the free POS?
- No. If you would rather absorb the fee and keep one price, we set the account up that way.
- How long does an install take?
- Most single-location restaurants and stores are installed and trained in one visit once the menu or product list is loaded. We schedule it for a slow day and stay reachable through your first weekend.
- Can I keep my current software?
- Often, yes. Our merchant accounts run on NMI, Authorize.net, Dejavoo and the Global Payments gateways, so booking, invoicing and e-commerce software can process on the same account. Tell us what you use.
- Where do you install?
- New Jersey, New York and along the East Coast. We are based in Warren, NJ.
- Who do I call when something breaks?
- Us. Installed systems have support 24 hours a day, every day. For everything else, (877) 794-7339 during business hours.
- Is there a contract?
- There is a merchant agreement, like any processing account. We go through it with you before you sign, and the quote spells out the terms first.
